RBA’s Heath: Mining investment probably around its trough, likely to pick-up gradually

In her speech to the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies, Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) Head of Economic Analysis Alexandra Heath said that mining investment is probably around its trough and likely to pick-up gradually during the year or so.

She further mentioned that resource exports are also expected to contribute to GDP growth before plateauing at a new, higher level.
