EUR/USD jumps to highs at 1.3747

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The Euro accelerates its gains against the US Dollar following the US opening bell and Jens Weidmann comments that his view on QE remains unchanged. The EUR/USD jumped 25 pips in a matter of minutes to test MA 100-hours at 1.3745.

Currently, EUR/USD is trading at 1.3741, up 0.28% on the day, having posted a daily high at 1.3747 and low at 1.3696. EUR/USD spot is in overbought territory according to the hourly FXStreet OB/OS Index, while the FXStreet Trend Index is slightly bullish.

RSI is in neutral territory at 72.48, up from its last hourly close at 69.51, while ADX is ranging above 30 at 29.33, down from 29.54 at the last hourly close.

EUR/USD levels

The Euro to Dollar conversion rate can see next resistance at 1.3745 (Hourly 100 SMA), 1.3760 (Hourly 200 SMA) and 1.3780 (Daily 20 SMA). Supports can be found at 1.3714 (Hourly 20 EMA) and 1.3700 and 1.3690.

AUD/USD under pressure

After repeated failure to take the 0.9300 level, the AUD/USD turned south and accelerated losses to fresh daily lows, extending correction from post-NFP highs.
