Wall Street advances ahead of FOMC decision
FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - The US stocks market closed slightly higher on Tuesday as techs companies traded higher and pushed the Nasdaq at its 12-year highs-close. However, investors are cautious as the FOMC will release its monetary policy tomorrow just after the 'new' GDP index.
The Dow Jones declined 1.38 points or 0.01% to end the day at 15,520.59. The S&P 500 advanced 0.63 pts or 0.04% to finish at 1,685.96. And the Nasdaq Composite rose 17.33 points or 0.48% to close at 3,616.47, its fourth positive session in the last 5 days.
