Key events ahead: Eurozone services PMIs, BoJ press conference – Danske
FXStreet (Barcelona) - Flemming J. Nielsen, Senior Analyst at Danske Bank, previews the key events and data releases ahead in the Eurozone, UK and Japan.
Key Quotes
“In Europe, the focus today will be on services PMIs. In the euro area, the most interesting will be the first estimates in Italy and Spain. In light of the upward revisions to the final manufacturing PMI, it is also possible that the final estimate for the services PMI in the euro area could be revised higher.”
“In the UK, we expect a slight improvement in the services PMI in line with consensus.”
“We do not expect the Bank of Japan to introduce new easing measures in connection with its announcement early tomorrow morning before markets open in Europe, despite recent data suggesting that the recovery remains weak.”
“In Scandinavia, Denmark will today release foreign exchange reserves figures for March and Sweden will release industrial and service production for February.”
