Spain: Annual CPI at 2.1% in June
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to data released today by the National Institute of Statistics, Spanish annual inflation rose 2.1% in June, following 1.7% growth registered the previous month. This result is in line with analysts' forecasts. On a monthly basis CPI edged up 0.1% in June, down from 0.2% in May, slightly below expectations.
Year-over-year Spanish HICP rose 2.2% in June, following +1.8% in May. On a monthly basis HICP grew 0.1% in June, following a 0.1% increase in May. Both results are in line with projections.
