US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 346K
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 11K last week to a seasonally adjusted 346K in the week ended June 1, a tad above expectations at 345K and coming from 356K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 52K to a seasonally adjusted 2.952 million in the week ended May 25 vs. 3.004 million in the previous week (revised).
